A Memorial weekend

A busy weekend....
started with Fanaa on Friday evening....high expectations coupled with the fact that the theater screamed "Tickets Sold out!!!" made us land at the theatres about 1 hour before the start, so that we get the best seats....:D
The movie had a promising beginning, what with Kajol looking extremely exotic (for the lack of a better term...), Aamir at his usual best, awesome shayari's and wonderful acting too...it has all the makings of a sweet romantic movie (the Yash Chopra spl) and exotically shot too...and then comes the twists n turns part...its alarming as such, and promises a much better second half...
Now saying that the second half is a let down, would be coming down too sharply on Fanaa, it is good, but its way too long...:(, you tend to lose interest...(I would not reveal the twists, for the benefit of all those who nurture a wish to watch the movie...)...its a 3.5 hrs movie, beware!!!!!

Saturday was spent in preparing for the carpet cleaners who came in at 9 in the morning....:(((
followed by an Indian lunch at Pasand...and 2.5 hrs of absolute tennis...:)))

Sunday was all about playing carrom and watching Robin hood....and of course "Crash"...would rate it as one of the best movie I have seen of late....
its all about abt racism (a topic close to the heart of a couple of very close friends...:D)...but a feel good movie...cant remember the last time we were so engrossed in a movie, that we personally hate the bad guys...or fervently pray that the black lady is pulled out of an about to explode car (well, in traditional movies, you would take it for granted that shes gonna get out a second before the car explodes, and you wouldnt bother to heave a sigh of relief when she comes out unscathed...)...or almost shed a tear when the innocent little girl is shot at...(by whom, I would love to say, but a couple of ppl who want to watch the movie might just take a shot at me!!!)...I could go on and on, but I would say "Go and watch it!!!"....
Monday...sleeping late and playing tennis took up most of the time...but found a little time to rag Jaggi, thanks to akku and manu...:)
and now, Monday is almost over, gotta prepare for another week in office...
tata for now....
Choti Si Baat - starring Amol Palekar and Vidya Sinha...

A simple, sweet, feel good movie with subtle comedy...
just love it...:)

Da vinci code!

Advice:
If you have read the book, dont watch the movie....
If you havent read the book, still dont watch the movie, you would do better to just read the book!!!!
